The Conceptual Change Model (CCM) is a tool educators use to confront students’ scientific misconceptions. The approach exposes misconceptions, accommodates new ideas, and applies new concepts to reinforce learning. This workshop will apply the CCM to address the following misconceptions: erosion vs. weathering, geologic time scale, and energy transfer.
